Welcome to Sibiu! I’m Maria and I’m always doing my best to be an awesome host! For more than 5 five years I was almost a “full time traveller”: I’ve visited over 30 countries (in Europe, Asia & South America) and have lived in China for 4 years. While doing so, I also met my French husband, Thibaut (a globetrotter himself), who fell in love with Sibiu on his first visit, so we decided to settle down here. Why? Because this beautiful city has all the qualities we appreciate most: quietness, fresh air, amazing restaurants that serve healthy dishes prepared with local products, a very active cultural life, as well as wonderful people around.
My current occupation as a trainer and consultant allows me to travel a lot and gives me the chance to really understand the needs of a business traveler.
Thibaut and I decided to start hosting in 2015, committed to use all our travelling experience in order to create great stays for our guests. Also this activity allows us to keep meeting interesting people from all over the world, to make use of the 6 languages we can speak fluently and to introduce our beautiful city to others. We can even help to organize tailor made guided tours that will turn your trip to Sibiu into an unforgettable experience.
Besides travelling, our hobbies are: theatre, attending cultural events (Sibiu is offering plenty), playing music (Thibaut plays the guitar and sings in a local band), cooking and… eating. Together with our team, we are always happy to offer you tips on the best places to eat around. Last but not least, we’ll be happy to learn some insights about your country of origin as well!

All our studios and apartments are located right next to the main train and the coach stations and within 10 min walking distance to Sibiu’s historical central square (Piața Mare). In that area you can also find the major tourist attractions, restaurants, shops and, of course, the venues where most of the cultural and artistic events take place.
The biggest shopping mall in Sibiu, Promenada Mall, is also situated within 10 minutes walking distance.
The building in which our units are situated has a free parking lot right in front of it, really important for Sibiu’s central area, where finding a parking spot can be a real challenge.
All units are in a new building, and were designed and furnished by us in 2017, 2018 and 2020.
After a long day of sightseeing, you’ll love coming back to the comfort of your “home away from home”, sitting on the couch, watching the flat screen TV or admiring the beautiful views from the big windows. On hot summer days, you can cool yourself down by using the ACs available in each unit, while in the cold Sibiu winter, you’ll appreciate the central heating system that will keep you warm and cosy in every room.
If you are keen on preparing your own meals, each unit has access to a fully equipped kitchen.
All amenities are provided, so don’t bother carrying towels, soap or shampoo with you. We’ll take care of that and you can use the extra space in your luggage for souvenirs or a bigger photo camera.
